![]() Great idea and well executed with some flaws.Instantly convert your low powered Maglites into a SUPER POWERED LED flashlight! Overall a solid 8/10 for a roguelike resource gathering game. I don't really think the flamethrower was that good in comparison. I used the machinegun through the entire game basically and didn't have a problem. Overall, last note is I'm not sure why the flamethrower lvl 2 damage costs a whopping 1000 lumens. was neat, but they can also be easily counteracted with global upgrades seems intended but also forces the player to allocate global lumens to them. Some rare items (limited ammo laser beams and stuff) would really take the end of the game up a notch.įinally, I found the campaign 'event' style maps pretty cool. Some of the maps are so large that it gets tedious grinding around the map to unlock an outpost and have it give you like 300 Lumen or something. Using the randomly generated geography was also very cool.Įnd game content could be upgraded by some new monster types and a sensor for finding mining units/outposts (locked areas that require keys). ![]() The swarms/waves of enemies is one of the better parts of the game in terms of balance since you actually will need to upgrade and set up good defenses/choke points for the most part. The tech tree is a bit limited imo for the amount of gathering it requires. ![]() Loved having to collect the resources honestly, but I can't understand why the Lumen Farm was one of the last upgrades to unlock, nor why it's so resource heavy to upgrade. Very nice game, the concept is really neat, but the limited number of monsters fails to hold your interest after a while.
